Dear Campus Community:
California State University, Fullerton can be proud its lived commitment to inclusion has made the university a place where equity, diversity, mutual respect, and cross-cultural academic excellence transform not only students, but also the faculty and staff who keep those tenets at the heart of the environment in which they work and teach.
To meet goal 3 of the strategic plan and "become a model of faculty and staff inclusivity, diversity and engagement in order to better serve our diverse student population," we must use this legacy as a springboard for the next generation of Titans. With this in mind, I am pleased to share the results of our recent Campus Climate Survey and trust you will give it the benefit of your thoughtful consideration.
Moving forward, I have appointed a cross-divisional Campus Climate Evaluation Team, chaired by Lori Gentles, Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity, and Inclusion, to review the data, interpret its themes, identify opportunities for growth, and provide next-step recommendations by the end of the spring semester.
As a campus community, we are indeed living our strategic plan and I am proud to work with each of you to see each of its four goals to fruition.
Mildred García, Ed.D.
